Leading up to Thanksgiving

In what is fast becoming a Burke tradition, we brined the turkey a couple of days in advance in a 5 gallon plastic bucket.

Old Tom trussed and dressed.

And Tom after...

The spread...

This a post cranberry sauce face. He likes it, but its a little tart!

Not a Thanksgiving photo, but the day after, post barn work, what a mess I was.

Riding Bikes

Beautiful Fall day today and so the boys and I got ourselves tired out playing outside.

The Sous-Chef

Walter's Mies van der Rohe Moment

Apparently this is Bruce Wayne's mansion.

Post Halloween

The day after Halloween when Bruce Wayne got into his candy.

Hey, where's mine?

Can I have some?

Nope...

The Batman rides again!

Versus his Arch-Nemesis, Killer Croc.

And the race is on!

But who is chasing who?

I AM... The BATMAN!

Bam! Pow! Biff!

Meanwhie, Daddy is hard at work in the background.

And Killer Croc retires from crime to spend some time book reading.

Final Soccer Practice of the Season

Halloween, Walter's final soccer practice for the season was a bunch of 5 on 5 or 6 on 6 games, which involving 3 and 4 year olds, meant just a big bunch of kids running around and sometimes kicking the ball.

Walter had a grand time as usual, but at some point he decided to just check out the grass with his new pal, Henry, whom he has decided is "sidekick."

At the end of it, Walter got a certificate that we are going to frame for him.

Miscellaneous Halloween Candy

Walter, M and Grandma made chocolate skeletons, eyeballs and monsters from molds that Grandma brought this week.
