First Day Of School

Ahh... the light! The light!

And then we noticed this black and yellow garden spider out in the strawberry patch. Wow! What a looker!

Old man outside waiting for the bus.

Old man's beard.

Getting on the bus with Byron for his first day of kindergarden. Parents go along for thier first half day and then after that he's all on his own.

Byron's giant in the driveway while waiting for Walter.

I swear it wasn't this bad! Despite the two band aids on his knee. Walter a pretty good day in 2nd grade!

Byron's Alphabet

Byron just finished up a six week pre-k program this summer and has turned out a 1,000 times more prepared for Kindergarten than even we could have ever imagined. He's gone from being very unsure of his ABC's to knowing the alphabet song, knowing all the sounds and knowing practically the whole alphabet upper and lowercase! Not only that, but he's excited about it. He just picks up a crayon or marker without being asked to to constantly write letters randomly on paper. 'Course we support this addiction with sidewalk chalk.

He studies the alphabet tutor that Aunt Seana got him and then goes back to work his art on the ground.

I didn't know whether to be upset or proud of this crayon signature underneath the kitchen table!
