Since we decided to celebrate Byron's 1st birthday with his party this past Sunday, we had a small cake on the 9th so that he did indeed have a birthday cake on his birthday. I think that he was wondering here if he got the whole cake.
But nope, a small piece was enough to satisfy.
Tired and grimy, but happy.
So on the 14th we had a party with a homemade cake and Gruncle Jim. Byron was so pleased that he dressed up in his brother's pirate hat.
And, of course, a maritime themed cake.
I think that he was more impressed by the candle than anything else.
Byron snuck the first taste of the frosting.
And got away with it.
