War Bread And Crumpets
The War Bread is based on an old WW1 rationing recipe that calls for shortening (I used Crisco) instead of butter and corn syrup instead of sugar as well as active dry yeast (which I use anyways...) instead of cake yeast. Its interesting and better than your average white bread but still not something that you'd want to eat all the time.
Dressed and ready to go crumpets.
A platter-full.

"London"
I knew that they were doing some renovations for the summer Olympics but had no idea that they would be this extensive.
Super Potato
Baking potatoes the other day I chanced across this monster in the potato bag. Needless to say this was two servings!

70 and 44 Months!
There was something uniquely satisfying about these monthly pics of the boys even though it was as difficult as pulling teeth as usual. The photos of them together remind me somehow of photos of the Rat Pack, Sinatra, Martin, Lewis and Sammy Davis. There's something about their careful insouciance and wildness. That and the pajamas... Though the boys' wildness is not caused by alcohol but sugar, it's just as unpredictable.

More Lego
Introducing the Boxer! Walter's boxing robot inspired by the movie that we watched last night, "Real Steel."
And not to be outdone, Byron created this and asked if I would post it, so here it is!
