Byron's Truck and Treehouse

More Walter Pics...

More End Of Summer Veggies

Couldn't figure out what these were as they grew from some leftover seeds from the year before... finally took roasting one to figure out that they were green spaghetti squashes...

Parsnips, carrots, cukes, beans and tomatoes.

The Amish heirloom Brandywine Pinks.

Brandywine Pink

An Amish heirloom tomato that are FINALLY getting nice and ripe one by one. Great tomato!

And one of them cut open...

Second Day Of School

The second day of school... rainy and cooler. Maybe Walter was tired of photos, but he sure wasn't tired of getting to play a racing game on the Xbox after school!

The Dental School Dropout

I had to, I just simply had to because this screen shot while innocently shows a practice dummy that budding dentists will be using in the new dental school, it really reminds me more of a nightmarish Terry Gilliam like image from 'Brazil' or perhaps '1984'!

The Fort

This summer I finally finished a project that I've been meaning to get done for a couple of years, to build the boys a decent little fort. It began with miscellaneous parts from a free play set that we disassembled and brought from from one of Melissa's friends new home. Alot of the lumber I discovered (much too late...) was dry rotted and no longer useable, but there was alot that was fine and I had to do something with it. So I built them a fort from scratch, imagination and left over lumber that was just sitting around the barn along with screws and fasteners that I already had. The tree was merely a friendly support to help hold things up and with my very inexpert carpentry skills I built something fairly solid, sorta cool, very varied and even with few right angles a neat fort! Again, Walter took all but the first two photos!
