Some old and not so old photos
I've been shooting film again as well as processing some old stuff that I've had sitting around for some time, including a roll that was in an old N2000 that I haven't shot with in forever. These next three and the last ones that I finished the roll with just a couple weeks ago were from the N2000.
M and our first baby, Poe. 2004?
M and her mom, Xmas 2004, I think.
Lola, back in the days after I first got her, before the lift, just lounging in the snow in the Rosendale backyard.
Ice cream on Memorial Day weekend on the back porch.
And another one of the new babies to join the family, just seemingly longing to get that F-head rebuilt and in between the frame rails.
And finally, some not so old photos of Byron from just a couple of weeks ago. (Here you go, Nicole!:) ) These were taken with the very last roll of one of my favorite films, Ektapress 400, which isn't made any longer. The colors were warm and muted and perfect for portraiture, but oh well, who uses film anymore?

The last two weeks
The last couple of weeks have gone by in a fly. Lots of little milestones and it already seems as though Byron is growing like the proverbial weed. It was confirmed last week that he has very nearly made it back up to his birth weight of 8 pounds 7oz. And I can already tell with those old father arms that he's gotten heavier. Meanwhile, Walter is doing well with little brother and up to giving him a kiss upon the head and even admitting that he loves his brother. He could hardly be driven to admit that he liked him a couple of weeks ago.
We've had lots of rain here lately and while I've gotten much done around the house, we haven't spent much time outside, except in between rain storms splashing and running through puddles and then coming inside to get sloppy eating spaghetti-o's. It hasn't been all work, though. Walter has also spent his time helping making cookies too. The jeep is even changing. I've finally had the time to haul the body off the frame little by little. Walter was pretty amazed by what he saw the first time.

Two brothers

Byron P. Burke
Byron Pádraig Burke was born on a fine Monday morning in the city of Portland, Maine at 11.52 in the AM. He was an extremely well behaved young man who already reminds me of his namesake. Pádraig (pronounced PAW-rig, the 'd' is silent depending upon where in Eíre you are, apparently...) is Irish for Patrick, but mom and Da will undoubtedly introduce him to most strangers as Patrick to avoid confusion. Dad got to be in the operating room this time for a scheduled c-section and was able to cut the cord and not even feel woozy in the midst of so much blood. Byron celebrated the moment by immediately sending a fountain of pee into the air when placed upon the weighing station right after his birth, while dad had the requisite Guinness afterwards to celebrate. Both Mom and Da and boys are doing well. Walter is warming to his baby brother, probably already scheming the many fine practical pranks that they will play.
