His boots and mine

I just love the way that Walter's mind works. He arranged his boots on top of the toe just so delicately balanced last week that it really impressed me.

The Tree

Last weekend, we found our first Xmas tree for the new house. Walter even helped decorate it, though he did sorta get carried away with the jingle bells.

20 months old!

Making the smooth transition to the nearly terrible twos, of course the t-shirt reads "Little Wild Man."

1st snowstorm!

Well, we have had/ are having still our first real snow of the season. An early storm thats putting down about 18' to two feet in some places. While Mom had to work today, Walter and I were industrious.

Thanksgiving 2007

Tom, our turkey, before...

...and Tom after.

And Walter was a very helpful sous-chef.

The spread.

Walter was the first to be served and with his Papa had the turkey legs.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing...

For Walter, Christmas came early. Thanks, Grammie and Aunt Maddie!

Happy Birthday, Byron.

Happy 38th Birthday, Byron, my brother in arms and in myth, my brother from another mother. I know, I know. Its not the homebrew from last year, but PBRs, though we shared quite a few of those together. Miss you always and looking forward to that day when we'll share drinking stories and tankards in Valhalla and the Happy Hunting Grounds.

Too much of a good thing?

19 months!

The coy one... you're not really going to take my picture, are you?

Just kidding you! Just make sure that you give me creative control after the photo shoot.

Chocolate cake

I think that it was chocolate cake that Melissa's sous-chef was helping with.

Quality control.

Still tastes good!

Here, have some!

18 months!

And Walter is just too cool for words... or a smile.

Mr. Fixit

Walter loves tools and helping out. I adjusted the mattress height in his crib today and he helped me. I showed him how to hold the allen wrench and how to tighten the bolt. After that, he spent a solid five minutes putting the wrench in the bolt hole and tightening it. soon, he'll be wrenching with me on the jeep.

Walk a mile in my shoes...

Walter has a fascination with our shoes. He goes to the door, grabs a pair of them and then tries fitting his feet in them and walking around.

If I had a hammer...

Walter knows that something needs fixing and he's got just the tool for it. He's a little boy on a mission.

The sheepdog

Looking real sheepish, the boy likes to sit in his wagon. His hair finally got a trimming that it needed.

17 months!

17 months! Well, one day early.

And turnabout is fair play. Walter was so interested in the camera that he didn't want to give it up. At first I thought that he was a junior model, because he loves getting his photo taken, but now I know that he really has just wanted to get on the other side of the lens.
