Hot Cocoa And Fun With The 1.4

Recently broke out the old Nikkor 35mm f1.4, which while it doesn't sync with the D80 (= no flash capability, but who needs it with a large aperture?) and no metering, it's all guesswork has been alot of fun. Maybe the 20mm needs to come out of the camera bag next?

Gruncle and Kathy's Post-Xmas Visit

Gruncle and Kathy came to visit a few weeks back after Xmas bearing gifts for the boys. The blocks went over in a huge way with Byron especially and Gruncle too.

It was all followed by a spirited Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots match!

Walter the Paleontologist

A Xmas gift for Walter was a dinosaur skeleton in a block of plaster... included is a brush, a combination pick/hammer, a pair of tweezers and the block with the bones SOMEWHERE in there. Not included is patience. He's been at it a few times and is getting to the bones. It may be unearthed entirely by next Xmas.

30/31 and 56/57!

Combination monthly photos... its been so busy that I just realized that I never took the boys photos for December... so here we are.

And then the barely controlled chaos that is the group photo that usually begins like this...

And then becomes this as we try to trick them into saying something... I forget what it was, 'applesauce' or something, but it quickly spirals out of control.
