Some Misc. Pictures and a Little Story

Oh no! Who can save us from the sticky handed...

...Blue Faced...

Little Zombie?

As he relentlessly advances...

getting closer and closer with his sticky little hands...

Is it Mommy's vase of flowers that we picked for her?

Or can Banana Baby save us?

Or Byron's feet?

No, only Batman can save us now! This has been one of Walter's favorite, FAVORITE, FAVORITE toys to date. We can hardly keep him out of it and it has to go everywhere we go too.

A Boy's Day Out

While this was from last month while Byron was completely unsure about walking outside in the grass, he's come a long way. Here, he didn't look too excited about being outside. Walter, on the other hand, has to be out everyday. He's developing a pretty good soccer dribble nowadays.

Two Months Worth of Growth

39 months...

...and 40 months with the crewcut outgrown a bit, though its impossible to tell under the Batman costume that we can't get him out of.

And of course, put them together for trouble.

13 months, still mainly crawling...

...and just a month later at 14 months, Byron is running around like crazy!

A Shipboard Visit

A couple of weeks back our friends, Peter, Peg, Franklin, Cheryl and Tim came to Portland to visit. We ended up doing a walking tour of the Coast Guard Clipper, "The Eagle." Its a 200 foot three masted sailing ship that serves as a training ship for the Coasties. To Walter, it was just a big pirate ship.

A Little Wiffleball

Amazing! I can't believe that summer is already over and that Xmas is right around the corner! How else to explain the 75% off Wiffleball set that we bought at Hannaford's today?

Trying to intimidate the pitcher...

Thoughtful...

The stance...

And the pitch!

And he swings for the fence! Our next little Ryan Theriot or Milton Bradley or Alfonso Soriano? Actually he DID hit the ball once out of a couple dozen swings. Not too bad for his first time at bat with a wiffleball!

Byron was non-plussed about it all, though.
