Snow, snow, go away...

Here in Maine, we've had a record snowfall for this winter. I heard on the news the other day that northern Maine has received 145 inches of snow so far, which was considered pretty impressive for an area that isn't getting its snow from elevation or lake effect. This was before the last snowstorm of this Saturday which dumped about a foot here in south central Maine. 15-18 inches was forecast for northern parts. This is so far, the third snowiest winter since records have been kept. Meanwhile I'm running out places to shovel the snow. The snow is up to and over the second window panes on the porch after I shoveled the roof off today. The six foot high fence at the side of the driveway isn't even visible in some places. Pretty impressive, especially after last winter when we were complaining about the lack of snow for the state.

Our little crawlway to the back porch.

Here, you can't see out the windows anymore. The snow is higher than the pictures make it look.
