Fall Photos

Its definitely feeling like an early start to fall with warm, but not hot days in the 60's and 70's, but nights are dipping to 40 and 50! Wow! The boys are back to school, so that means homework, days spent outside riding bikes when we can. Byron has had his training wheels off for three days now as of September 14 and is very nearly riding mostly by himself. He just needs a little push start sometimes. The tomatoes came in to be turned into three quarts and four pints of stewed tomatoes, one of which went into tonight's chili and we're finally getting a few cucumbers, though they are the small pickling variety. And my favorite, the potatoes! We grew, we thought, only Yukon Golds, but there are maybe a quarter of the potatoes that are distinctly Russett looking... hmmm... Oh well, they're still potatoes and a better haul than last year. We probably got about ten pounds or so. Off to the cellar with them!
